The philosophy of SI United Total Soccer Experience is twofold - soccer skill development and leadership development. We are committed to a holistic approach to developing young minds, young athletes and skillful soccer players. Our sessions are designed to be a balance of Instruction (technique), Imagination (role-playing) and Competition (small sided play). We create a safe, fun and challenging learning environment where our young athletes acquire and apply soccer skills, develop confidence, build relationships with peers and are introduced to mental skills to prepare them for success on and off the soccer field. Every session includes a word of the day that we teach and model such as Resilience, Confidence, Determination and Courage.
The SIU TSE Skill Development Model for our young players is based on core skill components - Dribbling, Turning, Passing & Receiving, Striking, Defense, First Touch, 1v1 and Ball Mastery. We also introduce them to basic problem solving, decision making, spatial orientation and combination play.
