Our squads cheer through the Chesterfield Cheerleader League (CCL). WAA conducts registration, selects coaches,
and forms teams. Game schedules and rules are provided by the CQL (Chesterfield
Quarterback League). WAA is represented
at the CCL by the Cheer Administrator.
Children ages 5-14 as of September 30 of the current year who live within
All cheerleaders pay a registration fee of $75. A late fee of $25 will be charged when
registering after June 30. Uniform fees
(including poms and shoes) are separate. Online registration is available with the addition of a processing fee. Cost is $78 registering online.
Stand: A concession stand is operated at home games to
supplement the budget. At each home
game, parents are expected to volunteer a minimum of 1 hour to working the

Coaches are selected by the Cheer Administrator.
Pre-season practice begins four or five weeks prior to Labor Day. Games begin the first weekend after Labor
Day. The regular season ends in October. Playoffs end in November, usually before
Games begin the first weekend after Labor Day.
Most games are played on Saturday morning or Saturday evening. In addition, one Wednesday night game is
typically played. On Saturday mornings,
Flags begin at 9:00 AM followed by Minors at 10:00 AM, Juniors at 11:00 AM, and
Seniors at 12:00 noon. However, the
actual starting times depend on the ending time of the previous game.
For Saturday evening games, Flags play at 5:00 PM
followed by Minors, Juniors, and Seniors in order. Please note: the Woolridge Athletic
Association does not set up the game schedules.
Practices take place at Woolridge Elementary School with days and times to be
determined by the Cheer Administrator and coaches.
Season Play: Both conference winners and the six
(6) teams with the next best records enter the playoffs in each division,
Northern and Southern. The playoffs are
single elimination and culminate with the “Superbowl” on the Saturday before
Thanksgiving. There is no post season
play in the Flag league. Seniors who are aging out of cheer may participate at
the Super Senior game (details come near the end of each season).
Team and individual pictures are usually taken sometime during the season and
may be purchased for an additional charge.
A ceremony is held following the season to distribute participation awards and
recognize the players.
