Are the Waterford Jr. Wolverines a rec league?
No. The Waterford Jr. Wolverines are a competitive/tryout traveling team.  The Jr. Wolverines play scheduled games against other traveling teams located in Southeastern Wisconsin and in tournaments throughout the season.

Are the Jr. Wolverines part of the Waterford Recreation Department?
No.  While the Waterford Jr. Wolverines have a close relationship with the Waterford Recreation Departments, we are a distinct organization operating with our own Board of Directors.

Where are the Jr. Wolverines games played?
The Jr. Wolverines play home games at Waterford Town Park, Whitford Park, and Case Eagle Park.  The regular season away games are played in communities located in Southeastern Wisconsin.  Some examples include: Muskego, Oak Creek, Franklin, Wauwatosa, West Allis, New Berlin, Pewaukee, Fort Atkinson, and Oconomowoc.

Will my child have to tryout for a team?  When are tryouts?
Yes.  Players in the Jr. Wolverines program are selected from a tryout held each year.  The date of the tryout varies each year, but it is generally held in August.  Please check our web site and social media pages for tryout announcements.  You can also be added to our mailing list for ongoing communication from the club.

What are the cut-off dates that determine what team my child will be on? i.e. U8, U9
The Waterford Jr. Wolverines' teams plays their regular season games in the M.A.J.O.R League.  The league organizes teams based on the player's age.  For instance, your child may be in third grade, but still play on a U8 team if his or her birthday is on or before May 1st of that season.  The child could, however, still play up in their grade level if determined appropriate for his or her skill level.
