Community Based
The Jr. Wolverines is a baseball club based in Waterford, WI and fields players from Southeastern Wisconsin. The Jr. Wolverines is a traveling baseball program and tryouts are held annually for boys or girls who wish to play for the organization.
As a community focused club, our goal is not just the development of strong baseball players, but to help build and strengthen the character of our players through the positive reinforcement of our coaches. The same principals and fundamentals our coaches instill in our boys and girls to become better baseball players on the field will help drive their success off the field as they become confident and positive leaders in our schools, our community, our state, and the world.
Games & Tournaments
Our teams are organized by grade level, 1st through 8th, and tryouts are held each year to choose between 10-13 players to form teams for each grade level.
The teams typically play 14 – 16 league games each season, with half played on our home fields and half played away against our surrounding communities, such as Muskego, Oak Creek, Franklin, Wauwatosa, West Allis, New Berlin, Pewaukee, Fort Atkinson, and Oconomowoc. In addition to league games, each team plays roughly 3 to 4 tournaments each season, including our own Annual Jr. Wolverine Classic Tournament held in Waterford.
Dues & Fundraising
The Waterford Jr. Wolverines program is funded by club dues and key fundraising events held every year. Parents are expected to donate their time and energy to insure the success of these events. The culmination of our fundraising efforts is achieved each year by sending the current U12 team to the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament at the Cooperstown Dreams Park in New York State. It’s the team effort of our parents that make this club and these experiences possible for our children.
