Newtown Edgmont Little League

Usage and Rental Guidelines

The Flanigan Center exists to advance the mission and purpose of Newtown Edgmont Little League (NELL), which is to promote the education, instruction and training of the youth of Newtown and Edgmont townships in the sport of baseball.

Program Functions

The Flanigan Center supports the mission of Newtown Edgmont Little League by performing two important functions:

1.  As its primary function, the Flanigan Center provides an indoor facility for baseball education, instruction and training of youth from Newtown and Edgmont townships.

2.  Secondarily, the Flanigan Center provides vital financial support to our program through the generation of rental revenue that not only covers the operating costs of the facility, but also helps fund our League’s continuing efforts to enhance the experience of our member families and players.

Facility Usage Guidelines

Each year, from approximately February 15th through the end of July , the Flanigan Center is used primarily for by NELL players for pre-season player evaluations, instructional clinics and authorized team practice sessions, at no cost for registered members of Newtown Edgmont Little League.

In addition, NELL provides year-round access to supplemental group and individual baseball training in the Flanigan Center through a roster of authorized instructors. The backgrounds, areas of specialization, and contact information for each of these instructors is posted on the NELL website. Whenever necessary, the youth of Newtown and Edgmont are given priority for access to these lessons to ensure they are always available to NELL members.

During the youth baseball off-season each year, from approximately September through February 15 th, the Flanigan Center is used primarily as a baseball and softball instruction rental facility to recover its year-round operating expenses, as well as to fund other NELL activities. During this time NELL also offers player development clinics that are open to all Newtown and Edgmont youth by age group, either free or for a nominal participation fee.
