The official name of our Organization is Gettysburg Midget Football, Inc. We operate as a non-profit organization under the name of Gettysburg Midget Football and Cheer and are part of the CFA League. Striving to be the strongest program we can be for our area youth of ages 4 and up we work in conjunction with the Gettysburg Area High School to be a feeder program for football and cheer!
GMF’s longevity and dedication to our young athletes are key factors to our success for 60 years. This strong organized youth athletic program does much to generate pride and enthusiasm in its athletes, coaching staff, board members and parents. We strive to run a strong competitive youth football and cheer program that educates our athletes on good sportsmanship, personal integrity, dedication, respect for self and others, self-discipline, motivation, teamwork and perseverance in both winning and losing situations while keeping in mind one important component in this competitive sport: “FUN”
Our organization is comprised of four tackle football teams and four cheer squads that are defined as the Smurf, PeeWee, Pony and Midget teams/squads.
- Additionally, GMF has partnered with Eagles Elite Cheer, Inc. who is recognized as the official cheer competition program of GMF. We are also a partner with Rage Sports. Rage Sports conditions a lot of our cheer snd football players.
- Beginning in the fall of 2019 we will be added flag football for ages 4 and 5 to introduce them in the fundamentals of football.
