SPRING 2024 RECREATION SOCCER

The recreation program will be returning this spring for all children! Sign ups are already underway and players can register during "Regular" registration, or "Late" registration periods this coming season. For more information, please see the details below.

NEW COMMUNITY BASED RECREATION

This coming season we will be going to a community based recreation soccer program.  Each of our 4 major communities will have their own teams.  St. Pauls, Red Springs, Rex-Rennert and Parkton will all have their own teams in each age division.  Teams will practice in their own areas during the week and will only meet in St. Pauls on match days to play matches.  This will make it much more convenient for each community to practice and meet with their soccer players, and reduce travel to game days to only Saturday mornings.  Each community will be responsible for nominating and electing their own coaches, and coaches must be able to register with NCYSA as a coach by completing a background check and completing the Safe Sport Training that is required for all NCYSA coaches.  Each community must also field a U7-U8 age division first, and then they are eligible to field a U9-U12 team.  No community can field only a U9-U12 age division team.  You can either field a U7-U8 only, or BOTH U7-U8 and U9-U12.   Communities can also field MULTIPLE teams if they choose to do so, as long as they at least have 1 U7-U8 age group.  We encourage communities to have as many teams as possible in their age groups.  For more information, please see the rules for the recreation soccer league here.  If you are interested in becoming a coach for your community then contact us as soon as possible at [email protected] and let us know.

Uniforms must be purchased by parents directly from Soccer.com.

Upon registering this year, when your player is assigned a team, you will be directed to Soccer.com to purchase your team uniform.  Soccer.com will be our uniform provider for both the recreation and the classic soccer program.

Soccer.com is a premier provider of soccer apparel and equipment in North Carolina, and by partnering with them we will be able to provide a quality soccer uniform for all of our participants.

INCLUDED IN THE KIT
- 1 required uniform
- 1 required pair of shorts
