All-Star Recreation Team Info
Players who participate in the Fall 2024 AND Spring 2025 recreation seasons in the U9-U12 division will be eligible to be selected on the NRFC All-Star Team!
The NRFC All-Star Team will travel to Raleigh NC to play in the NCFC Recreation Cup in early/mid May of 2025! Those players will represent the club, and greater Robeson County as the best recreation players of their age division.
Cost to Play
There is no additional cost to play for the player. Players who are selected to play, play the additional tournament free of charge.
Match Days
U9-U12 teams will participate in 3 games and potentially 1 championship game. 2 games will be on a Saturday, and the 3rd and potential Championship game on Sunday. Trophies/medals will be awarded by NCFC for tournament champions in each age division.
Uniforms
NRFC will provide all All-Star uniforms to coaches and players. Players should return their uniforms at the end of the tournament to their team coach. Players will be able to wear the black socks and black shorts that they wore during the season to participate in the tournament, and only a jersey top will be provided to each player by their team coach.
Tournament Coaches
The coaches that win the regular season championship and/or tournament will be selected by NRFC to represent the club as the All-Star coaches. Only the best coaches from the league will go with your children to the tournament to represent our club and our region.
All-Star Selection Process
The top 18 players from U9-U12 age division will be selected to participate in the tournament.
ALL coaches in the U9-U12 division will be able to nominate players of their team.
Final player selection will be made by the All-Star coach based on the following criteria:
1. Players commitment
2. Their participation in BOTH the fall and spring seasons
3. Performance in matches, attendance
4. Performance at practices
5. Overall parental support
Players will be notified initially of their placement on the team, and if they accept their position they will be added to the All-Star roster. Players that decline their place on the All-Star team will be removed from the selection pool, and the spot will be offered to the next player in line.
Playing Formats
U9-U12 will play 9v9 with GK's and will play two 30 minute halves each game.
Match Locations - WRAL Soccer Park
All matches will be played at WRAL Soccer Park in Raleigh, NC. It is the responsibility of each parent/coach/player to make travel arrangements to be at the matches early/on-time.
