Coaches,

Below is the link to submit your information for the background check.  These are good for 2 years.  If you have done an ONLINE BACKGROUND CHECK for coaching kids for a City of Knoxville or Knox County sport, you should already be in their system.  If so, please send us an email letting us know which organization you submitted to.

If you have not done on ONLINE BACKGROUND CHECK with the City of Knoxville or Knox County, please go to the site and follow the instructions.  The process takes only a couple of minutes and the site is highly secure.

This background check company's disclaimer states that they might run a credit check. However, credit checks ARE NOT done with the background check - the language is in place to cover themselves and all of the types of checks that are ran for various institutions.

FURTHER EXPLANATION

The City of Knoxville has allowed us to do National Background checks through this site and it is a GOOD THING.

We are very happy that we have this expanded capability, it will help protect all of our coaches, parents and players.

It is very quick and painless and done through a highly secure organization, selected by the City of Knoxville.

The disclaimer page that you see and sign-off on makes it sound like Knox Youth Sports is going to get all of your information.  Rest assured, we do not obtain any of your information.  The language is there because it has to be in order for the check to be run. KYS will only receive the Passing Grade.  If something negative comes back, a KYS representative will immediately give you a call and no one else.  Your SSN, DOB, or TDL numbers are NEVER shared with us.
