2019 LEARN TO SKATE FOR FREE!
Have your child try our learn to skate program this year called - Give It A Shot!
This will occur at our brand new arena!
West Salem Panther Den
Register Today - Learn to Skate/Try It Days
This FREE event will take place from 6-7 PM at the Panther Den, November 4th through the 8th.
- K-1st will be Monday Nov. 4th
- 2-3rd grades Tuesday Nov. 5th
- 4-5th grades Wednesday Nov. 6th
- 6-8th grades Thursday Nov. 7th
*Plus, an open free skate for the community will also be on Friday, Nov. 8th (Skates, Food and Prizes are not provided for community open skate).
The Learn to Skate program is designed to teach children the fundamental progression of standing to skating forward and backwards and executing turns. All skating instructors are certified through USA Hockey and will have assistance from High School and youth players.
The Learn to Skate program through the West Salem Hockey Association is FREE to all participants! A limited amount of skates will be available for children. Please bring a helmet to participate (bike helmets work great!).
Information and representatives from the hockey association will be available during the sessions; information will be provided on area ice skating programs that include West Salem Hockey Association’s FREE transition to hockey program.
