U9-U13 PROGRAM

Welcome to the FC Dallas El Paso West page.

Academy program is the foundation of our Select Program. It is a developmental program for 8-12 year old players (U9-U13) to create an environment more conducive for long-term player development. Try-outs for this program take place in August and in February. Our program provides:

A professional coaching staff that oversees all aspects of training and games.
A program that competes against El Paso-area youth soccer clubs.
A program that participates in tournaments (limited number of and distance).

Practices begin August and games begin in September.

FC Dallas El Paso West does allow teams to stay together from Fall to Spring, all players will be randomly placed on teams in their age group. We do not allow requests for carpool or friends being placed on the same team, we can not honor all of those requests. We do try to honor your practice time requests but it is not always possible. Once teams are full in each practice time players will be placed based upon openings on teams in either practice time.

The practice uniform: shirts, shorts shin guards and socks. These items are mandatory.

OVERVIEW

INTRODUCTION

FC Dallas El Paso West Program is foundation of our U9-U13 Program. The Academy Program is the developmental program for 8-12 year old players to create an environment more conducive for long-term player development. The Academy Program introduces these young players to the challenging world of select soccer. The Academy’s philosophy is one of playing to learn, minimizing the intense pressure to win. This philosophy transcends every training session and match. The Academy Program coaching staff is specially selected and trained to provide this introduction to select soccer. Challenging training sessions conducted by the Academy staff are the key ingredient in the personal development of the players.

Training activities are devised to help each player improve technically (skills), tactically (decision-making), physically (fitness) and psychologically (mental toughness). The Academy focuses on the complete development of each player. Through guided discovery teaching methods, the Academy staff challenges each player to creatively solve problems that only the game itself can provide.

U12 Program Wednesday: 4:45pm - 6:15pm
