Chicago Rush National Signing Day

February 1st is National Signing Day where High School Seniors across the country can officially commit to play soccer at their chosen Colleges and Universities in the fall.

Chicago Rush Soccer Club and all of our partner clubs are very proud of all of our Seniors who have committed so much time and energy to our club and the game they love so much. Especially for our High School Boys Program, this year is the first time we have had commitments.

Jake Slavin

Augustana College/Division III

Jake is a member of the 98/99 Rush Premier team. Jake was a key contributor this past fall to one of Yorkville High School’s most successful seasons. A versatile midfielder, Jake is a creative player that is willing to take defenders on whether it is on the wing or in the center of the park. Jake will participate this spring in NPL and will attend Augustana College this fall and play for head coach Mick Regan.

Riley Martin

Loras College/Division III

A career long member of the Panthers and Rush club, Riley is a current member of the 98/99 Rush Premier team. Riley attends Oswego High School and has proven his versatility. A former attacking player, Riley has turned into a versatile outside back, whether it is on the left or right side. His athleticism and two footed play has made him a strong and steady attacking back. Riley will participate this spring in NPL and will attend Loras College this fall and play for head coach Dan Rothert.

Nick Kearns

Aurora University/Division III

A career long member of the Panthers and Rush club, Nick is a current member of the 98/99 Rush Premier team. Nick was a pivotal contributor in net at Oswego High School this past fall. A strong and steady shot stopper, Nick is a team first guy who consistently comes up with big saves. Nick will participate this spring in NPL and will attend Aurora University this fall and play for head coach Ryan Lakin.

Taylor Peck

University of Indianapolis Division II

A Chicago Rush and PSC player since U8, Taylor has been offered a full athletic scholarship to play for Division II University of Indianapolis Greyhounds and coach Holly Cox. Taylor has received numerous high school all conference, district and regional awards and has been an Oswego East High School varsity starter for 4 years. Taylor has been one of the top female scorers for Chicago Rush and will be a major contributor to the team competing in the National Premier League championships this coming summer for the ’98-99 Chicago Rush in Indianapolis, IN.

Jessica Sendef

Carthage College Division III

A Chicago Rush and PSC defender since U8. Jessica has been part of successful 99 team playing on various the IWSL, NPL, and state cup teams. Jess was most recently a captain of the ’99 team showing great leadership skills and will also be participating in the National Premier League championship held in Indianapolis , Indiana in July of 2017. She will be attending Carthage College, a Division III school in Wisconsin and playing for the Lady Reds and head coach Sara Meyer.

Abby Grzetic

Ashland University - DII

Abby Returned to Chicago Rush this year, after spending time away. Abby always works hard and gives 100%. Her dedication to her team and coach Michael Cockroft is second to none. Abby will be playing in the National Premier League Championship this summer and will be a major contributor to the team. She will be attending Ashland University, a Division II school in Wisconsin and playing for the Eagles and head coach Danny Krispinsky.

Megan Rassmussen

University of Western Illinois- Division I

A Chicago Rush and PSC GK’er since she was U8. Megan started on various successful IWSL, NPL and ’99 state cup teams in Illinois, and distinguished herself as a quality GK’er following the footsteps of other quality GK’er in our club. She will be playing the summer at the National Premier League Championships in Indianapolis , IN. She also has been a starter on the women’s team as a junior and senior at Oswego High School. She has an opportunity to play at Western Illinois for the Leathernecks and Director of Soccer, Dr. Eric Johnson. Megan has been trained by club GK’er coach Abel Perez and team trainer, Technical Director of Chicago Rush, Michael Cockroft.
