Leadership Change - get the facts
Date: Sunday, May 13th, 2018 - Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's in our club and beyond!
Dear Carolina Rush Soccer Club Members,
Anytime there is a leadership change in any organization, there will always be changes, and sometimes there may be confusion. This short message will hopefully provide some clarity for you as a parent or player at Carolina Rush.
Earlier this Spring, near the end of April, Neil Orridge, the former director of Carolina Rush Soccer, resigned and returned to his former club, Carolina Rapids. In the interim from then until this past week, many parents have been in limbo, not being told whether or not, Carolina Rush Soccer would continue. We understand this because many parents have called the club asking questions.
On Monday, May 7th a new Executive Director was brought on board to run the Carolina Rush Soccer program. The new Director is Coach Haniff Frank. To learn more about Coach Frank go to the MEET THE NEW DIRECTOR page. Coach Frank is a very successful soccer coach and club director and is working very hard to ensure the continuation of the Carolina Rush Soccer program. Considering the departure of several coaches, volunteers and administrators from CRSC, Coach Frank has spent the majority of the past 5 days assembling his new staff. Coach Frank oversees, another club as well, Revolution United Futbol Club, that plays in the SCYSA, and already has existing staff that have stepped in to bolster the CRSC program and ensure a smooth transition.
It is very important that our existing members, both parents and players, as well as potential new members understand that the competitive soccer program at Carolina Rush will continue to serve the soccer community with all of the Rush programs on the local level and national level.
Carolina Rush Soccer is a program owned and operated under the Steele Creek Athletic Association's(SCAA) membership in the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association(NCYSA). Over the past 2 years, Carolina Rush Soccer may have appeared to be a separate entity from SCAA. The NCYSA requires that SCAA's Club Soccer program acknowledge their membership by name. Therefore, you will begin to see the SCAA or Steele Creek name appearing on the website, on promotional literature and even on uniforms as we seek to become 100% compliant the NCYSA's policies.
We will be holding Parent Information Meetings over the coming days to answer questions and ensure that anyone who chooses to play soccer at Carolina Rush - Steele Creek gets a great value and is fully satisfied with the level of service and training we provide.
The new staff is very enthusiastic about the opportunity and we look forward to meeting many of you very soon and growing the club to new heights over the coming years!
Sincerely,
CRSC Administration
