VIRTUE OF THE WEEK: HOPE

3. Hope

VIRTUE

The Virtue of the week: HOPE.  The strength to hold that your interior longing will be fulfilled.

PRAYER

Lord, You are the source of our HOPE.  We want to live with You for all eternity in Heaven.  That is why we love winning so much because winning is a taste of the eternal victory with You in Heaven.  May we strive with all our strength to win as a team in this life and most importantly in the life to come.

BIBLE QUOTE

1 Peter 1:13

SAINT OF THE WEEK

This week's saint is St. John the Baptist.  John began public ministry around 30 AD, and was known for attracting large crowds across the province of Judea and around the Jordan River.  When Jesus came to him to be baptized, John recognized him and said, "It is I who need baptism from you."
