Tucker Reynolds, Executive Director


Tucker Reynolds joined Bluffton Rush as its first Executive Director in May 2022. He brings over 30 years of experience in youth soccer to the Club. Tucker has coached at all ages, both genders and at all levels of competition. He coached in club, spent 10 years as a high school coach and 10 years as a college coach. He was involved in US Youth Soccer's Olympic Development Program ("ODP") for more than 26 years coaching in both Massachusetts and Louisiana. He was a Region 1 ODP Coach coaching in regional and national ODP Camps and taking teams to Spain, Portugal and Croatia.

Administratively, Tucker served on a club Board for 7 years, served as Director of Communications at Massachusetts Youth Soccer for 4 years and spent the last 8 years as Executive Director of Louisiana Soccer Association. He has served on US Youth Soccer National Committees and Advisory Boards.  

As Executive Director, Tucker will oversee all aspects of Club operations. He will act as liaison between the club staff, coaching staff and the Board of Directors of both the Club and the Bluffton Rush Foundation. He will also act as liaison between Bluffton Rush and US Soccer, US Youth Soccer, South Carolina Youth Soccer Association and Rush Soccer.

Mike Haughton, Technical Director



Mike Haughton is from Manchester, England. He played with Manchester City youth sides and with local clubs such as Droylesden. He was Football Development Manager at Manchester City FC working within their Academy structure for 10 Years.  Mike also served as an Academy coach at Burnley FC. 

Mike joined the staff at Global Premier Soccer ("GPS") where he served as a Director of Coaching Education. He works closely with South Carolina Youth Soccer Association and US Soccer to bring coaching education to the Bluffton area. Mike also coaches the Bluffton Rush team in the Women's Premiere Soccer League, the second tier of women's soccer in the USA.

As the Bluffton Rush Technical Director, Mike is responsible for developing training curricula for all age groups, assessing all coaches and overseeing all Technical Department programming including camps, clinics and coaching education courses.

Filipe Checco, Director of Communications




Filipe Checco was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As a young boy, he grew up watching and playing soccer. Filipe played for different academies in Brazil that included the top clubs of the country. At the age of 12, Filipe joined the U12 Academy of one of the biggest and most well-known clubs in the country, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras.

Filipe came to the United States to study and play collegiate soccer at St. Andrews University, NC. He then transferred to Wingate University, NC, a NCAA DII school with a full scholarship where he graduated with a degree in Sport Management In 2016 his team won the NCAA DII National Championship, the first in the school history. 

Filipe worked at Global Premier Soccer ("GPS") as a full-time coach coaching at different age group, both genders, and at different levels. He took the 2004 GPS Boys Gold team to the SC State Cup semi-finals and assisted the 2005 GPS Girls Gold team, the most successful team in the club, winning the SC State Cup two years in a row.

Felipe has served as the Girls Director of Coaching for Bluffton Rush and presently serves as the Club Director of Communications. He is responsible for maintaining the Club website and social media and for all club-wide communications to our players and their families.
