The Amherst Youth Soccer Association is a non-profit program 501(c)3 that offers soccer for ages 3 and up.
-The AYSA strives to foster the physical, mental, and emotional growth and development of our young players for all ages and levels of competition.
-The AYSA’s perpetual goal is to ensure that soccer is an enjoyable experience for our players and to instill in them a lifelong passion for the sport.
-We are committed to providing a positive, nurturing, respectful, fair and challenging learning environment.
-Our firm belief is that the game of soccer can encourage a dedication to excellence and teamwork, while simultaneously building lasting relationships and teaching life lessons that transcend results on the field.
We will always be looking for ways to achieve these goals through the combined efforts of our volunteers, coaches, parents, and players. Our Pee Wee program (ages 3 and 4) is a great way to introduce children to soccer. Our In-house program (ages 5-6) starts teaching the fundamentals of soccer.Starting at age 7, our program starts offering a more competitive level of soccer. Some children choose to play locally throughout Lorain County. Other children want a little more competition and choose our travel program, which requires a bit more time commitment and traveling to other communities. We work closely with the high school teams throughout the program and have ties with several experienced coaches in the area. There are additional training programs and camps throughout the year that may be offered and may require additional fees should your child choose to participate. Most importantly, our coaches and board members are VOLUNTEERS. We all donate our time and resources to make this program succeed and we couldn't do it without your help and the help of our sponsors!
