- Background Check: All Recreational Coaches and Assistants are required to submit a background check once per year through the Virginia Youth Soccer Association. If you submitted one in the Fall season, you do not need to submit one for the Spring. Background Check Link
- Coach Registration: All coaches and assistants need to register. Login to your Sports Connect account by clicking login in the top right handcorner of the page. Select and fill in all information in the Volunteer Opportunities section.
- Coach Education: All coaches and assistants are required to complete two self-paced, online modules: 1). US Soccer Introduction to Grassroots Coaching and 2). The Aspen Institute Project Play How To Coach Kids. Coaches will also complete an in-house preseason grassroots coaching clinic.
- Safesport: Every member that will be working with players are required to complete the SafeSport Course. Click here

How do I log into Absorb without an Enrollment Key?

Click Login on the home page at SafeSportTrained.org
Enter your email address in the Username box
Enter your password in the Password box. If you do not know your password, click Forgot Password. In the new window, enter your email address in either the Username box or the Email Address box and click Reset Password.
You will receive a password reset email in your inbox. If you do not receive the password reset email, check your junk folder. If you still cannot find the email, check the email address you entered in Absorb. If that is correct , contact your organization or our help desk for assistance at https://safesport.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/4
