2025 AYB Rec Baseball

Welcome to Atwater Youth Baseball! Here is some information for the upcoming season.

Your child will be placed in their division based on age on Dec. 31, 2024. If you would like to play in a higher division, you must contact our registrar, Katie Mesa, at [email protected]

***If you choose to move your child up, they cannot move back down***

Your registration fee covers:

Jersey
Socks
Hat/Visor
Insurance
Field Maintenance
Umpires

Items you may need to purchase:

Pants
Belt (wait until you know what your team colors are)
Cleats are recommended for 7-year-olds and up (metal cleats are not allowed)
Glove

Softball: Mandatory face mask for all softball infield players (T-Ball excluded)

Baseball: Protective cup is highly recommended, but if you choose not to utilize this advice, understand that it is at your own risk. (T-ball excluded)

No face mask = no playtime

Season Dates to Remember:

Coaches will contact teams approximately the first week of February.
Practices will begin approximately the first week of February.
Opening Day is TBD
Picture Day will be held at Mitchell Senior Elementary; dates & times are TBD.
Season play will begin on Monday, March 4th, and end approximately June 8th
Dates are subject to change to accommodate for weather and playoffs.

**AYB works diligently to coordinate with Mitchell Senior to ensure our season moves smoothly. However, it is out of our control if they determine they need access to our fields. We will also need to make accommodations for the weather if needed. Please be understanding if this takes place.

Most coaches practice 1-3 times weekly after 5 p.m. at Mitchell Senior. Coaches will notify you when your specific dates and times will be.

Games are scheduled Mon-Saturday.
