"My role as a soccer coach goes beyond teaching good technical skills and tactical formations. As the leader of the team and a role model for the players; I have the responsibility to teach them that it is not all about winning. Soccer is about their growth as team players, the enjoyment of playing the game, and their development of sportsmanship. It is important to first focus on the mental speed of the game in order to gain the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Players must develop the skill of awareness of the constantly changing factors inside and outside of the game. Players also will learn and develop their technical skills so the they may perform a variety of moves quickly as well as increasing their speed and distance coverage. I strongly believe in giving every player the opportunity to play. I want players to understand that being a Champion is not about winning every game or tournament. Being a Champion is about building character, self-discipline and self-motivation as a player and as a team. So whether if they win or lose a game they can feel accomplished knowing they gave 100% effort"
