The fusion of these two clubs was crafted with the purpose of elevating the youth soccer experience in central Indiana. River Plate Indiana brings the incredible resources and training philosophy from the professional soccer club of River Plate Argentina.River Plate is not just a team, it is an institution of soccer, and is the only club in the world with all educational levels. Komets- River Plate players will be provided with highly decorated trainers and coaches from River Plate.

“It is an honor and incredible opportunity to partner with such a well-established club like Komets SC,” said River Plate Indiana Principal Ricardo Juncos. “For River Plate Indiana this is a huge step forward into developing River Plate into the United States. We are grateful we have the ability to bring the philosophy and coaching staff of River Plate to Indiana. Through the Komets-River Plate project we will imply the same philosophy, training styles, and the focus for players on and off the field that River Plate Argentina has created over many years. We have coaches, trainers, and goal keepers from the River Plate Argentina team that have already come on board. I am really excited for this new adventure and opportunity to give players the tools and knowledge they will need to excel on and off the field.”

Dave Davis, the President of Komets Soccer, says, “Komets is looking forward to continuing our long-held tradition of focusing on the kids and helping develop them to their highest potential.”

Komets-River Plate will be a continuation of all existing programs from Komets Soccer and adding new development and training opportunities as time goes on.

While monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, the Komets-River Plate program will immediately begin conducting virtual soccer development training and exercise classes until players and staff can safely return to the field. For more information, please visit www.komets.org or riverplateindiana.com
