Do you have to live in Sugar Land to play on a SLGSA team?
No, SLGSA is open to all girls ages 5-14.

What ages can play?
Girls ages 5-16 years old can play. Teams are broken up into age brackets:
- 6 & Under
- 8 & Under
- 10 & Under
- 12 & Under
- 14-16 & Under

Do you have to be experienced to play?
No experience is necessary to come out and have fun while improving your skills.

Do you sanction Select Teams?
Yes, we currently sanction several select teams. If you are interested in receiving more information regarding our sanctioning requirements or trying out for a Select Team, please email the A-Team Commissioner.

How can I volunteer to coach a team?
Upon registering your child to play, you can select the option to volunteer as a coach, or you may email the Vice President of Sports Commission.

Where are the games played?
Games are played at Imperial Park, 230 Matlage Way in Sugar Land across from the Imperial Sugar Factory.

How often is practice?
Practice is typically held twice a week, except for the 6U group, which generally practices once a week.

What do players wear?
Game jerseys and socks are included with registration. Players will be expected to wear BLACK softball pants and cleats that can be purchased from most sporting goods stores. We partner with Dick's Sporting Good who often provide discounts.

Does equipment need to be purchased?
Players are required to have an in-field face mask, batting helmet, and fielding glove. Softball bats are recommended but not required.
