Sara has lived in Darrington her entire life and is a proud graduate of Darrington High School. She currently serves as the Education Director at the Sauk-Suiattle Education Department and has spent over 14 years working in early childhood education. She holds an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and, after completing her student teaching this fall, will earn her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

Sara is deeply involved in the community and is passionate about creating opportunities for local youth. She and her husband, Max, both volunteer as coaches across multiple youth sports programs. Max also serves as a member at large and plays a huge role behind the scenes—helping with equipment, field maintenance, and whatever else needs to get done.

Together, they are raising their three children in Darrington, all of whom are actively involved in local sports and school activities.

Sara dedicates countless hours to making sure DJAA runs smoothly. She is committed to building a strong, sustainable program that supports kids, families, and volunteers—while continuing to grow something the entire community can be proud of.

Kelsea McCaulley

Kelsea has lived in Darrington most of her life and is a graduate of Darrington High School. After high school, she married her husband Martin, who also serves as a member at large and volunteer coach. Together, they are raising their four children in the Darrington School District.

Kelsea previously coached high school cheerleading in Darrington and continues to stay actively involved in youth sports. She currently works at the Sauk-Suiattle Education Department as the family support and education assistant where she supports children and families in our community.

Kelsea and her husband are both very involved in the community and dedicate a lot of their time to supporting youth programs. Even with a busy schedule, she continues to volunteer coach and show up wherever help is needed.

Kelsea plays a huge role in keeping DJAA running smoothly. She puts in countless hours behind the scenes and brings strong ideas and vision to the program. Her leadership and dedication are a big part of helping DJAA continue to grow into something our community can be proud of.

Taylor James

Taylor has lived in Darrington for the past few years after moving here with her husband, Tory, and their three children. Since joining the community, their family has been very supportive of DJAA—helping sponsor the program and stepping in wherever needed.

Taylor is always willing to jump in and lend a hand, whether it’s helping behind the scenes or supporting events. She brings a positive attitude and a strong willingness to help, which makes a big difference in a small community like ours.

We’re have loved having Taylor in the Treasurer position because she is dependable, organized, and ready to help keep things running smoothly for DJAA.

Angel Blake
Vice President

Angel has lived in Darrington her whole life. She is also a graduate of Darrington. She works at the school as a Para and also as a caregiver in the community. She is married to her husband Steve and together they have a daughter. Angel is very involved with all youth sports and activities throughout the community. She also volunteers and coaches our youth basketball and t-ball programs.

She is very outgoing and loves the color pink. She is one of the most positive people around and has a laugh and smile that is incredibly contagious. We are lucky to have her on the board but also as a coach. Our youth sports organization wouldn't be complete without her bubbly personality and incredible contribution. Angel serves as our Board Secretary and also manages our basketball program and is our public relations manager. 

Members at Large

Our members at large play a huge role in our organization. They not only attend meetings and help with fundraising, but they do so much more. They help us split the teams, pick coaches, get gear bags ready, clean and organize our equipment shed, inventory our equipment, community outreach, help with sign ups, fittings, gear hand out, and so much more. Not only do they do all of these things but almost all our members at large are also volunteer coaches! They are a great addition to DJAA and also make an amazing addition to our community!
