3rd/4th Grade Division, formerly known as "EBC", season runs from early November through mid-February with players assigned to teams by the Division Director.  One hour weekly sessions on Saturday afternoons split between fundamentals/drills and coach-guided, limited scoreboard, scrimmage games designed to introduce our youngest players to basketball.

5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Divisions, the founding/core grade divisions, season runs from early November through mid-February with 5th and 6th grade players assigned to teams by the Division Directors and 7th and 8th grade players drafted by Division coaches.  One weekday evening practice and league games played Sunday late mornings/afternoons refereed by trained high school students and/or adult referees.  Standings maintained for the 6th, 7th and 8th grade divisions and playoffs held for the 7th and 8th grade division over the final weeks of the seasons.

9th/10th & 11th/12th Grade Divisions, known as "HSBBC", season runs from early December through late February for players not playing on high school freshman, junior varsity or varsity basketball teams with players assigned to teams by the HSBBC Director.  No practices in HSBBC.  League games generally played Saturday afternoons refereed by two adult referees.  Standings maintained for the separate HSBBC divisions and playoffs held over the final weeks of the season.

Guiding Principles, the guiding principles of BBC basketball are participation, good sportsmanship, and having fun playing the game of basketball.  BBC teams in all grade divisions are coached by volunteers, generally parents of players, with varying levels of coaching and basketball experiences.  Our recreation program coaches are provided player participation score sheets to maintain, as required, even playing time with all players playing at least half of every attended game.  Although the BBC also provides competitive travel team opportunities for some players, the emphasis of BBC basketball continues to be our recreation programs described above which provide basketball opportunities to ALL players starting in elementary school, continuing through middle school, and concluding as high school seniors.

The BBC is committed to providing a safe environment for all players and families by conducting background checks on all Directors and Coaches.
