Our History

Razzia Futbol Club of Utah has been in operations since May 2007. It came in response to the rapidly growing needs of Soccer/Futbol in the west side of the Salt Lake Valley. At that time some bigger clubs were attracting players, teams, and coaches from our area to play at a higher competition level but at a higher cost. Most of our players were unable to afford the excessive registration cost offered by other clubs with similar competition levels. In response, three independent smaller clubs joined forces to create what is called Razzia FC today. Three clubs West United, Mid-Valley, and West Wind joined forces to form what became one of the most competitive clubs in the Salt Lake Valley. Cody and Diane Lund, from West United, Debbie and Steven Jester, from Mid-Valley, and Rich Phillips from West Wind led the effort to create Razzia FC.

Razzia Futbol Club continues to serve our Wasatch Front soccer communities by providing affordable, family-oriented, competitive, and challenging soccer environment for players from North Salt Lake to Lehi, Utah, and anywhere in between them. The Razzia teams have competed successfully in some of the most competitive and prestigious tournaments and leagues around the United States. The dedication and passion of our coaches has helped some of the Razzia former players to play in college, become professionals in their selected fields, and to become coaches or assistant coaches for teams with Razzia and other clubs. As a club, we are instilling values to our players that go beyond the game of soccer and at the same time we continue to promote the sport to future generations.

One of the most noticeable differences between Razzia Futbol Club and other clubs is the voluntarism. Our Board of Directors and coaches are volunteers with different expertise in Oil and Gas, Telecommunications, Education, Construction, Manufacturing, Information Technology, Health and Science, Customer Service, and Support, among others. None of our volunteers gets paid for serving on the board of directors or coaching any of our soccer teams. Because of our reduced administrative costs, as a club, we can provide affordable opportunities for players to compete at the highest level without the excessive cost charged by other clubs and provide unique opportunities to compete at the highest levels.
