Our History
Founded in May 2007, Razzia Futbol Club of Utah (Razzia FC) was born out of a simple but powerful idea: high-level soccer should be accessible to every family. As the love for futbol rapidly grew on the west side of the Salt Lake Valley, many talented players were being drawn to larger clubs that offered higher competition—but at a cost that placed participation out of reach for many families.
In response, three respected community clubs—West United, Mid-Valley, and West Wind—came together with a shared vision. Led by Cody and Diane Lund, Debbie and Steven Jester, and Rich Phillips, this partnership formed what is now one of the most competitive and community-driven clubs in the Salt Lake Valley: Razzia FC.
Today, Razzia Futbol Club proudly serves soccer families throughout the Wasatch Front, from North Salt Lake to Lehi and everywhere in between. We provide an affordable, family-oriented, and challenging competitive environment that allows players to grow both on and off the field. Our teams have competed successfully in some of the most prestigious leagues and tournaments across the United States, proving that excellence does not have to come at an excessive cost.
The passion and dedication of our coaches have helped many former Razzia players go on to play collegiate soccer, excel in their professional careers, and return to the game as coaches and mentors within Razzia and beyond. As a club, we are committed to teaching values that extend far beyond the game—**discipline, teamwork, leadership, and respect—**while continuing to grow the sport for future generations.
One of the defining qualities that truly sets Razzia Futbol Club apart is our spirit of volunteerism. Our Board of Directors and coaches are 100% volunteers, bringing diverse professional expertise from fields such as education, technology, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, telecommunications, oil and gas, and customer service. No board member or coach is paid—each serves out of passion for the game and commitment to the community.
Because of this volunteer-driven model and reduced administrative costs, Razzia FC is able to offer high-level competitive soccer at an affordable price, creating opportunities for players to compete, develop, and succeed—without placing unnecessary financial strain on families.
