LNYS Elite Cheer

LNYS Elite Cheer is our spring competitive cheer program. This program allows cheer athletes to work on and build upon their cheer skills after our Fall sideline season has ended. All cheer athletes are required to participate in our sideline cheer program every other year to be eligible for LNYS Elite Cheer.

Our Elite Cheer program offers an affordable competition cheer team that allows our cheer athletes to excel in a sport they love that teaches hard work, sportsmanship, respect, and kindness. This program is open to all Lake Nona Youth Sports cheerleaders in Lake Nona and the surrounding areas.

2025 LNYS Elite Cheer

The LNYS Elite Cheer program is open to LNYS cheerleaders, ages 7 - 16, that have cheered our Fall program in 2023 and 2024. If you have cheered with another association in the Fall that does not have a spring program, please send an email to [email protected]. The Elite Cheer program allows our cheer athletes to continue working on, perfecting and advancing their cheer skills. This program is competitive only, we do not cheer for a sports program in the spring. Teams will attend 1-4 competitions toward the end of the season in April and May.

Cheerleaders who broke the competition contract or had excessive absences during past LNYS Fall seasons will be ineligible to register for our Elite Cheer program.

Sideline cheer rules regarding attendance and behavior will apply.

Athletes will receive a practice uniform that must be worn at all practices. Additional items can be purchased.

Fall cheer sneakers can be used if in good condition. Please use old cheer sneakers when practicing outdoors. Cheer sneakers must be worn to all practices, no street sneakers.

Sneakers (if needed) are $70.

Competition uniforms are a rental. We will use the same uniforms as the previous year, as well as the same bow. If bow has been misplaced, replacement is $20.

Other expenses for the season:

Competition bow, optional additional practice uniform items, sneakers, jacket/gear, hair piece, travel expenses, comp makeup, spectator costs for competitions - hotel, tickets, parking.

Practice:

Practice during our competitive season is MANDATORY. All practices are 6-8pm.

Heroes Park-Tuesday and/or Thursday.

Evaluation days: 1/20, 1/27

Team practices start: 2/3

No practice during spring break: 3/17-3/21.

Teams are arranged by age , experience and skill level at the discretion of Lake Nona Youth Sports.

Possible Competition Dates:

4/12-4/13 - Next Level Nationals - Orlando

4/26 - FCDA - Orlando

5/2-5/4 - The ONE - Orlando - This is a 2 day bid only event.*

5/10-5/11- All Out Championships -Daytona Beach

Fundraising:

Bid winning teams will need to hold a fundraiser to cover cost of additional competition.

Season Cost:

Novice Team: $350

Elite Teams: $500

Payment plan option available.

Teams:

-Novice - Practice 1-2 times per week. 1 competition at the end of April. Cost $350. 2 years or less experience, minimal tumbling skills. This team is basic skill focused.

-Elite Level 1 & 2- practice 2-3 times per week. 2-4 competition April - May. Cost $600.

Refunds before 1/20/2025 will incur a $50 cancellation fee.

No refunds will be given after 1/20/2025.
