Coaches Certifications
This page includes all the information that is required to be an coach for our Fall Season.
This will outline the certifications needed for both Football and Cheerleading coaches.
These forms should be completed before taking the field at the start of our season in August.
For the season here are the required certifications that need to be complete:

2023 FREE NFHS Concussion Course: Cost is FREE
(to be completed by all coaches, football and cheer)

2: Type in Concussion in the search bar and click Concussion in Sports
3: Select State (MA) and click order course
4: Once Ordered go to My Course and take the test.
American Youth Football Coaching Certification Course Requirements:
1. The Head Coach & All Assistant Coaches MUST be Human Kinetics/Coaching Youth Football the AYF Way Certified or have been previously HK Certified and taken the Coaching Youth Football the AYF Way Refresher Course. The courses can be found at www.ayfcoaching.com - Cost: $25.00
2. There shall be at least one coach holding a Red Cross Card, or of similar equivalency, on each football coaching staff. National CPR Foundation CPR & First-Aid Certification Class - https://www.nationalcprfoundation.com/courses/standard-cpr-aed-first-aid/ - Cost: $15.00
3. The Head Coach & All Assistant Coaches are required to complete the FREE NFHS Tackling Course online. ALL Coaches must present proof of this course Completion at the Regional and National Tournaments. The course can be found on https://nfhslearn.com/courses/football-tackling - Cost: FREE

2023 USA Flag Football Certification

2. Go under Courses & Certifications
3. Select FLAG CERTIFICATION - Cost $15.00
American Youth Cheer Coaching Certification Course Requirements:
Each team must have either the Head Coach, an Assistant Coach or Licensed Trainer who is the holder of a current Red Cross Certificate in Community CPR and First Aid or its equivalent, present at all practices.
National CPR Foundation CPR & First-Aid Certification Class - https://www.nationalcprfoundation.com/courses/standard-cpr-aed-first-aid/ Cost: $15.00
All Tournament Conference AYC participating HEAD COACHES – are required to complete the AYC Online Human Kinetics Coaches Course (includes the $2 million coverage) found at www.ayfcoaching.com.
Any Head Coach who has previously completed the course MUST YEARLY complete the refresher course available at www.ayfcoaching.com. This course must be completed before the start of the season. (Available 6/1 of the current year)
All Tournament Conference AYC participating HEAD and ASSISTANT COACHES – are required to complete the YCADA Online Coach’s Safety Certification Course, called Y101 – Coach’s Manual, found at www.ycada.org.
**Any Coach who has previously completed the course MUST YEARLY complete the online refresher course available at www.ycada.org.
With the addition of the new Y103 Coaches Course, veteran coaches no longer need to repeat the Y101 course for certification.
Here’s what we’ve got:
Y101 - For first time coaches
Y102 - Refresher Course taken in the off year of certification
Y103 - Recertification course for coaches who have already taken the Y101
Once you have completed all these courses, all football and cheerleader coaches should email them to their director as these certifications must be added to the team's book for the season. If you have any questions about the courses, please feel free to contact your director of Football or Cheerleading.
