2023 POP WARNER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Each year, Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. hosts the Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer and Dance Championships.

The Pop Warner Super Bowl takes place during the first full week of December in Orlando, Florida.

The Pop Warner Football Championships (referred to as the Pop Warner Super Bowl) are divided into teams competing in Age-Based Divisions (Division I & Division II).

The nation's best football teams compete for National Championships in different age/weight ranges as well as age-based divisions in Division I and Division II.

For all divisions of play, an outright national champion is crowned. In addition, the week also often includes Challenger League, Mascot and International Division exhibitions.

In order to advance to the Pop Warner Super Bowl, a team must win its respective League Championship as well as the Regional Championship. Each advancing team is guaranteed to play two games at the Super Bowl, with a National Champion being crowned in each division of play.

CHEER & DANCE CHAMPIONSHIP

The Cheer & Dance Championships feature over 500 cheer & dance teams who compete at the four-day event. Competitions take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando Florida

Cheer & Dance teams compete in 7 different age ranges (Tiny-Mite, Mitey-Mite, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Varsity, Varsity & Bantam).

Show Cheer & Sideline Performance Cheer teams also compete in sizes (Small Teams: 5-10 cheerleaders, Medium Teams: 11-20 cheerleaders & Large Teams: 21-35 cheerleaders). Cheer & Dance teams also compete in nine YCADA Divisions.

For a cheerleading or dance team, the difficult road to the national championship is quite similar to that of the football teams. A spirit team will showcase their best 2:30 routine at the League Championship, the top two teams in each division advance to the Region Championships.

At the Region Event, a spirit team will again perform their routine in hopes of placing first or second in their respective division to be invited to perform at Nationals.

FOOTBALL: CAMPING WORLD STADIUM

The stadium has been host to countless high school, collegiate and professional football games. Camping World Stadium is the current home venue of the Citrus Bowl and the Cheez-It Bowl.

Seven National Football League (NFL) preseason football games have been held at the stadium, and it was also host to the NFL Pro Bowl from 2017 until 2020.

Following a massive $207.7 million reconstruction in 2014 that yielded a 90% all-new stadium, the name was changed to the Orlando Citrus Bowl.

The modernized stadium features 41,000 lower bowl seats, two 360-degree concourses, multiple giant video displays, a 20,000-square-foot plaza deck and unique indoor & outdoor club spaces.

On April 27, 2016, the venue was renamed Camping World Stadium as part of a multi-year naming rights sponsorship with Camping World.
