Job Summary
As the Woodinville Girls Lacrosse (WGL) Youth Program Director, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality youth lacrosse experiences to players grades K-8. You will also be involved in various aspects of the youth lacrosse program, such as player recruitment, scheduling, coordination, relationship management, and coaching. You will work closely with other program directors, volunteers, parents, the WGL board, and the WSLA (Washington State Lacrosse Association) board to ensure a positive and safe environment for the players, coaches and the lacrosse community.
Responsibilities
· Develop and implement age-appropriate lacrosse training and coaching sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun.
· Manage and supervise youth lacrosse team(s) during practices, games, and tournaments, ensuring compliance with league rules and safety guidelines.
· Communicate effectively and regularly with players, parents, coaches and volunteers, providing feedback, guidance, and support.
· Recruit, train, and mentor new and existing coaches, sharing best practices and resources.
· Coordinate and schedule games and practices with other clubs and venues, ensuring timely and accurate information, in partnership with WSLA.
· Attend regular league meetings, serving as league point of contact in partnership with HS coach
· Recruit and retain players for the youth lacrosse program, promoting the benefits and opportunities of lacrosse.
· Create and implement a growth plan for the youth lacrosse program, identifying goals, strategies, and resources.
· Provide guidance to the WGL board on financials, including: youth coaching stipends, registration fees, fundraising goals.
· Collaborate and maintain positive relationships with other clubs, the league, and the state lacrosse board, representing the youth lacrosse program in a professional and respectful manner.
· Support and participate in youth lacrosse community and social events, such as fundraisers, clinics, camps, and awards.
Qualifications
· A passion and enthusiasm for lacrosse and youth sports.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Availability and flexibility to work evenings and weekends during the lacrosse season (late February to May).
· At least two years of lacrosse coaching experience (preferably with youth players) or youth program leadership role, or equivalent experience.
· Valid USA Lacrosse membership and Bronze Level coaching certification

Holy Names Academy is an independent Catholic school for girls in grades 9-12 with a strong and successful athletic program.
Holy Names Academy has the following Lacrosse coaching positions open for the spring 2024 season:

Lacrosse Coaches will report to the Head Lacrosse Coach and Athletic Director. Specific responsibilities will include:
· Compliance with all Holy Names Academy, WSLA, and USA Lacrosse policies and procedures.
· Supervision and instruction of lacrosse student-athletes during all team activities.
· Effective communication with student athletes and their parents.
· Provide transportation for student athletes in a school vehicle as needed.
Requirements for the position of Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach, JV Head Lacrosse Coach and Varsity Assistant Lacrosse Coach include:
· Demonstrated knowledge, dedication, experience, and ability to teach lacrosse skills and conditioning programs.
· Ability to teach student athletes sportsmanship, responsibility, discipline, teamwork, commitment, pride, and fun.
· Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the HNA coaching staff.
· Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.
· USA Lacrosse Level 1 Coaching certificate.
· Current USA Lacrosse Membership (prior to the start of the season).
· Must be willing and able to drive a 14-passenger minibus (training provided).
· Be available for practices and competitions during their coaching season with availability on weekends as required for practices or competitions.
In-season coaching duties will begin on February 26, 2024, and run through May 2024.

Northshore Lacrosse is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic JV and 14U head coaches for the 2024 season. Direct inquiries to Aanya Lee at [email protected]. The season is February 26th - late May, with 2-hour practices held three times a week and games on weekends. The stipend will be commensurate with experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Attend all scheduled practices, games, meetings, and other essential events.
- Independently plan and lead lacrosse practices, with support from assistant coaches and volunteers when necessary.
- Provide individual and team coaching to improve player skills and deepen their understanding of the game.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect amongst all.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during team activities.
- Motivate players to give their best effort and collaborate effectively as a team.
- Work closely with other program coaches to establish and uphold program goals and curriculum.
- Meet all requirements set forth by WSLA and Northshore Lacrosse, including, but not limited to, administrative tasks and effective communications.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching or playing experience in girls' lacrosse.
- Familiarity with girls' lacrosse rules.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively interact with players, parents, and the coaching team.
- USA Lacrosse membership, USA Lacrosse Silver Coach Certification, first aid/CPR certification, complete background check, and any additional requirements of WSLA or Northshore Lacrosse (if not current, they may be obtained before the season starts).
ISD (Issaquah) High School Varsity Head Coach and Assistant Coach Openings
Description of the Head Coach Position
We are looking for an energetic and motivated leader to be the head coach of one of the top lacrosse programs in Washington state. The ideal candidate will be someone who is a positive role model to our young women as they pursue excellence in all areas of their lives while competing for state championships. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of the game, a passion to teach it, and will lead by example. Prior college playing experience or prior coaching experience is strongly preferred. Ideally, the head coach will be able to recommend assistant coaches for the board’s approval and will work closely with the junior varsity coaches to further develop the program. The majority of the work for the head coach position will occur during the high school spring lacrosse season, which begins with practices in mid-February and concludes the end of May. No other in-person coaching is required throughout the year. Team practice and game schedules are usually Mondays through Fridays, outside typical business hours. Practice times are dependent on field availability, however, we will attempt to set a season schedule that works best for the head coach.
Compensation:
ISD Girls Lacrosse offers a competitive wage package that is variable based on Coaching Experience and agreed upon additional duties and responsibilities.
Varsity Job Description:
● Serve as Head Coach for the Issaquah Girls Lacrosse Varsity team (ISD)
● Oversee skills and development for the ISD program
● Attend and represent the ISD program at coaches’ meetings conducted by the Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association (WSLA). A substitute may attend meetings when a Coach is not available
● Plan and supervise the development of skills, teamwork, and tactics for the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams
● Manage and communicate practice and game scheduling
● Work with JV and Assistant Coaches on practice plan coordination
● Be responsible for choosing the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams based on basic skills, fitness, sportsmanship, commitment and teamwork

Description of the Assistant Coach Position

About Issaquah (ISD) Girls Lacrosse Club:
Historically, one of the top programs in the state, Issaquah was the State Champion runner up in 2022, and we have won two state championship titles since 2014. Our prior head coach moved with her husband to another state for a job opportunity, creating the opening for this position. We are located in a suburb of the greater Seattle area of Washington and are located in an area that traditionally has a strong pool of athletes who play in the program. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and the organization provides girls lacrosse practices and games for girls in Grades1-12, during the WSLA spring season. About Varsity Lacrosse in Washington State
High school girls lacrosse in Washington state is governed under the jurisdiction of the WSLA (http://www.wslax.org/). There are 45 high school teams across the state. Although lacrosse is not an interscholastic sport in Washington state, the teams are all closely related to the high schools and are recognized as varsity and junior varsity programs. The Issaquah program draws players from an area comprising three high school boundaries in the Issaquah School District (ISD), and the team is a member of the Snoqualmie conference, which is the most competitive conference in the state of Washington.
