Our second grade program provides a fun introduction to basketball for both players and parents. The program is lead by a professional basketball coach, with assistance from high school student coaches. Sessions are organized without the concept of pre-assigned teams.  Players learn the basics of basketball during the first part of the session and scrimmage for the second part. There are no weekly practices.

All 2nd graders receive a NGBA jersey and basketball at the first session.

Grades 3-8

NGBA is a recreational league for Newton girls with fun for beginners and experienced players alike! Players in Grades 3 – 8 practice for 1-hour on one evening during the week (Mon-Thurs). You may select one day on the registration form that you are NOT able to practice. Otherwise practice times will be assigned according to coach availability. Games are played on Saturdays. Teams are coached by parent volunteers.
