2022 – 2023 Schedule Overview
The 2022-2023 NGBA season kicks off on November 28 and ends March 11 with a March Madness tournament. There are no games or practices during school vacations (12/24/22 – 1/1/23, 1/16/23, 2/18/23 – 2/25/23).
Game Times and Locations
Saturdays: 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 3/4, 3/11
- Grade 2 – Saturdays at 9:00 am and 10:00 am at Oak Hill Middle School
- Grade 3 – Saturdays at 9:00 am or 10:10 am at Day Middle School
- Grade 4/5 – Saturdays at 10:10 am, 11:20 am or 12:30 pm at Day Middle School
- Grade 6/7/8 – Saturdays at 1:00 pm, 2:10 pm, 3:20 pm or 4:30 pm at Bigelow Middle School
Practice Times
Teams practice for one hour per week beginning the week of November 28. Practices are at Bigelow or Oak Hill Middle Schools. Teams do not practice during school vacation weeks or holidays.
- Grade 2 – No practices
- Grade 3 – 6:00 or 6:30 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays
- Grade 4/5 – 6:30, 7:00, or 7:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays
- Grade 6/7/8 – 7:30 pm or 8:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays
Reminders: Jewelry, Food & Beverages, Uniforms, Playing Time
- No jewelry may be worn to games or practices. This includes string bracelets, hard barrettes or beads in hair, earrings, etc. Girls wearing earrings will not be allowed to play.
- Absolutely no food is allowed in the gyms.
- Uniforms should be worn to both games and practices. For games, the team listed first on the schedule is the home team and should wear the white side of the uniform. The other team should wear green. The uniforms should survive well if washed in cold water and line dried.
- For player safety, street shoes should not be worn in the gym on wet or snowy days.
- Coaches will ensure that all players receive equal playing time.
