The East Atlanta Dutch Lions Academy Program operates as a member of Georgia Youth Soccer Association’s developmental soccer program for U9-U12 boys and girls. The idea behind Academy is to give young players advanced coaching and a higher level of competition, alongside other players and parents who want to see their child develop his/her potential in a fun soccer environment. Academy philosophy is playing to learn while minimizing the pressure of playing to win.

The Academy program is an intermediate step to full sided select soccer which starts at the U13 year. All  Academy coaches are licensed and experienced in preparing players of this age for the next step of select soccer. Training activities are devised to help each player improve technically (skills), tactically (as a member of a team), physically (coordination & fitness) and psychologically (mental development).  The Academy focuses on the complete development of each player and education of the parent on the philosophies of developmental soccer.
