Spring Program Overview
- Registration period is during January & February, with evaluations and team selections in early to mid-March.
- Practices start roughly a week later, after coaches meeting and field prep day.
- During the pre-season teams will get two practices per week, one weekday and one weekend. These will be scheduled by the League Commissioners.
- Once season games start, teams will practice at the discretion of their coach.
- Games start early April and go through early June, taking off Memorial Day weekend.
- As a community-based league, all coaches are volunteers. Please consider volunteering to Head Coach or Assist.
T-Ball
- An instructional league for 3–4-year-olds.
- The very basic skills are introduced.
- This division uses the safety t-ball, which is soft and bounces more than traditional hard baseballs.
- Players hit off a tee.
- Outs and score are not kept.
- Infield size is 50 ft. base paths.
- The goal is 8 games (weather permitting)
- Teams are formed by the T-Ball Commissioner taking into account coaching requests, player requests, balancing age and gender.
- Note: Players are not evaluated for this division.
T-Pitch
- An instructional league for 5–6-year-olds.
- The very basic skills are introduced.
- This division uses the safety t-ball, which is soft and bounces more than traditional hard baseballs.
- Players receive 3 - 5 pitches from their coach. If they do not hit, they are then allowed to hit off of a tee.
- Outs and score are not kept.
- Infield size is 50 ft. base paths.
- The goal is 8 games (weather permitting)
- Teams are formed by the T-Pitch Commissioner taking into account coaching requests, player requests, balancing age and gender.
- Note: Players are not evaluated for this division.
Minor-Coach Pitch
- An instructional league for 5-6-7-year-olds.
- Fundamentals on throwing, hitting, base running, defense are introduced.
- USA or USSSA Standard bat required.
- Traditional hard baseballs are used.
- Outs and score are introduced at this division.
- Infield size is 60 ft. base paths.
- The goal is 10 games (weather permitting).
- This division will have an end of season tournament. Single or double elimination format is decided each year by the Commissioner per the number of teams, and number of rainouts.
- Teams are formed by a snake draft led by the Commissioner and Player Agent, in which the coaches select players using the evaluation results
Minor-Player Pitch
- A competitive league for players aged 9-11.
- USA or USSSA Standard bat required.
- Traditional hard baseballs are used.
- Player pitch format.
- Infield size is 60 ft. base paths with 46 ft. pitching distance.
- Steals permitted, no lead offs / pick offs.
- The goal is 12 regular season games (weather permitting)
- This division potentially will inter-league with other Little League programs in the area, so some travel is required. The number of inter-league games varies each year per the number of teams in each league.
- This division has and end of season tournament. Single or double elimination format is decided each year by the Commissioner per the number of teams, and number of rainouts.
- Teams are formed by a snake draft led by the Commissioner and Player Agent, in which the coaches select players using the evaluation results.
Intermediate-Little League
- A competitive league for players aged 11 -13
- 11-year-olds may opt to play up in this division, but must attend evaluations for the Commissioner to verify it's safe for the player to move up
- USA or USSSA Standard bat required.
- Player pitch format
- Infield size is 70 ft. base paths with 50 ft. pitching distance
- Steals permitted, lead off / pick off permitted
- The goal is 12 regular season games (weather permitting)
- This division potentially will inter-league with other Little League programs in the area, so some travel is required. The number of inter-league games varies each year per the number of teams in each league.
- This division has and end of season tournament. Single or double elimination format is decided each year by the Commissioner per the number of teams, and number of rainouts.
- Teams are formed by a snake draft led by the Major Commissioner and Player Agent, in which the coaches select players using the evaluation results.
