- Batting – a player will be thrown 5 pitches from his team’s coach, if none are hit in the field of play, a player will then hit off a Tee until hitting a ball into the field of play. If a player’s batted ball results in an out, the player is out and will return to dugout. The entire team bats each innings. So a team could feasibly have 10 or 12 outs.
