I began coaching in 1985 while in Air Force stationed in Germany, I volunteered to be the assistant high school varsity football and basketball coach for the American high school on base. During those 9 years as a football assistant coach I held positions as LB coach, receiver coach, defensive back coach, defensive coordinator, and assistant offensive coordinator. I moved into the head coaching role for my final season as schools coach. I was the Head Junior Varsity basketball coach and Assistant Varsity coach during those 9 years.

After returning to the states at the end of my military career, I volunteered in youth sports in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky from 1997 to 2006, focusing on youth basketball. My wife Terri and I moved to Indiana in 2008 and through a previous employer  I met Steve Blystone who talked me into getting back into youth sports as a volunteer coach for PAAL, I co-coached with Steve for a number of years both basketball and football until we both took on administrative roles for PAAL which we currently hold. 

Terri manages the concession stand for basketball jamboree and fall football.
