2025 Fall Tackle Football Divisions:
*Teams may be combined depending on the number of registrants (for instance 7U and 8U players may all be on one 8U team).
Registration Fee:
$200/athlete - due in full at time of registration
Football registration fee covers the following:
• Personalized Uniform
• Practice jerseys
• Team T-Shirts w/ Jersey Numbers
• Socks for the season
• Mouthpiece
• Helmets (maintenance and reconditioning costs - required to ensure player protection and re-certification)
• Coaching equipment
• Practice field rental/maintenance
• Home game fees (field rental/maintenance and referees)
• Insurance and league fees
Helmets and shoulder pads(if borrowed)remain the property of the Wilmington Lions United and must be returned immediately at the end of the season.
Required Equipment (supplied by parent/guardian):
• Cleats (no metal spikes)
• Shoulder pads
• Practice pants with pads
• Mouthpiece with helmet attachment**
Additional Fees:
Additional fees may be required throughout the season to cover travel costs, especially for teams qualifying for regional, national and post season bowl games.
Practice Info:
Official practice will start on July 15th, location TBD. Teams can practice up to 10 hours per week before school starts. Once school begins weekly practice will be reduced to 6 hours per week. Practices are generally from 6:00-8:00 pm unless otherwise communicated by the coach. Athletes are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of conditioning (10 without pads and 10 with pads) to be eligible for full contact practice and games.
A parent or guardian must be present for the duration of every practice in the event of injury or early end time (due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather).
Season Info:
Games are usually on Saturdays, our home field is Williston Middle School. Away games can be held at various locations in our region. Game schedules are generated by Pop Warner and are typically provided by the annual Jamboree which occurs in late August. Opening games typically begin on Labor Day weekend. Regular season and playoffs end in October. Competitive level teams (8U and up) can qualify got regional, national and post season bowl games which can occur into November and December.
