2025 West Stanly Youth Football

The West Stanly Youth Football & Cheer Organization is excited about our upcoming season, and we have been working diligently to ensure we are prepared to support the players and cheerleaders.

This season, the U-Wharrie League has made modifications to our program, that we feel will be fundamentally better for our players and cheerleaders. We are excited about the changes, and feel that our players and cheerleaders will benefit from the new rules that will be followed by all of the area teams.

  • Players and Cheerleaders in Kindergarten will play and cheer for the 7-on-7 teams. Cannot turn 6 years old before January 1, 2025.
  • The 11-on-11 Teams and Squads will be made up of players and cheerleaders in 1st and 2nd Grade. Cannot turn 9 before January 1, 2025
  • D1 team and Cheer Squad will be for players and cheerleaders in 3rd and 4th Grade. Players and Cheerleaders cannot turn 10 years old before January 1, 2025.
  • D2 Football Team and Cheer Squad will be for players and cheerleaders in 5th & 6th Grade. A player cannot turn 12 years old before January 1, 2025.

The league also decided that participants cannot be in the 7th Grade, regardless of age. This new rule will ensure teams are properly aligned, and eliminating issues from the past.
