Special Recognition 50 Years and going strong!
Hammar's Welding, now known as Hammar's Contracting, has been a proud sponsor of the Kimball Township Little League for many years, even before their own children were old enough to play in the league. Now, five of their great-grandchildren are playing ball, making that four generations of Hammars actively involved in KTLL. For decades, they have given generously of their time and resources.
In 2002, Tim Hammar, son of Bob Hammar, and Terry Morris took over the business, expanding to include Emergency Truck and Tire Repair, Hammar's Recycling, and J&J Trailer. Generously, they have carried on the tradition of their predecessors. Hammar’s Contracting has also played an integral role in supporting Kimball Township Little League. Their generous contributions have assisted in creating a T-ball Field, painting and repairing dugouts, installing a new parking lot, and erecting a new building that will house concessions, maintenance, equipment, and safety. Tim and Kerrie, who grew up playing in the league, now volunteer their time coaching and helping with various projects, as do their son-in-law and daughter, Adrien and Jessica Harris, who are also coaches. As silent partners of the company, the Morris family joined the Hammar's in their efforts to support the league. Terry and Tammy Morris will throw the first pitch at this year's opening game.
Hammar's Contracting has been instrumental in the success of the Kimball Township Little League and their generous contributions have helped to enhance the league's facilities and programs. Thanks to their generosity generations of Kimball Township youth have benefitted from their involvement in KTLL, as will generations to come. Thank you, Hammar’s Contracting, for your dedication to enriching the lives of the youth in our community. We are forever grateful.
