Volunteer Information
FCA is a volunteer-intensive ministry. We are always looking for people to get involved who have a faith in God, a passion for sports, and love people.
For this year's FCA Deaf Soccer League, we are in need of volunteer coaches, referees, and general volunteers. Volunteers can be Deaf or Hearing. We will find a place for you. Additionally, we also take into consideration each volunteer's ASL ability in determining where a volunteer might best be fit.
Potential volunteers could be: Parents (Deaf or Hearing), ASL Teacher, ASL Students, Interpreters, CODAs, family members of Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing individuals, and anyone with a passion to serve the Deaf community through sport.
All volunteers must complete our FCA volunteer process which includes:
1. Completing FCA Deaf Soccer League "Volunteer Opportunities" Interest Form.
2. Complete our Ministry Leader Application (An FCA Staff member will follow up with application following Step #1).
3. Completion and submission of background checks and clearances (i.e., PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal and FBI Record Check)
4. A Volunteer Interview with an FCA staff member (in ASL or Spoken English, whichever is preferred) - (20 - 30 mins.)
5. FCA Deaf League Sports Volunteer Training (45 min. training session).
If you have a faith in God, passion for sports, love for people, and a desire to connect with the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community, we want you involved!
Please fill out the applications today!
Thank you,
Brian Cook, FCA
