2026 Spring Softball

Del Rio Little League offers the following softball programs for girls:

Softball Tee Ball for ages 4, 5, and 6 (NO TRYOUT; BUDDY REQUESTS ALLOWED- email request to [email protected] with your child's full name, DOB and buddy's full name)
Softball Coach Pitch for ages 6, 7, and 8; for player safety at least one season of tee-ball is required for a 6-year-old to play in coach pitch softball (BLIND DRAFT; NO TRYOUT)
Softball Minors for ages 9, 10 and 11 (TRYOUT, MANAGERS DRAFT PLAYERS FOR THEIR TEAM)
Softball Majors for ages 9,10, 11, and 12. (TRYOUT FOR PLAYERS NEW TO THE DIVISION)
Softball Juniors and Seniors for ages 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 (TRYOUT FOR PLAYERS NEW TO THE DIVISION) Note: 12 year olds trying out for Juniors division must also be registered in Majors. In other words, 12 yo cannot register for Junior division only.

League age is determined by the Little League 2026 Softball Age Chart: littleleague.org/downloads/2026-softball-age-chart/

Tentative key dates for the 2026 season are below for Softball Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, Minors and Majors

January 24 - Early Registration Closes, last day to register at $85 per player before fees go up to $110 per player
January 31 - All Registration Closes
February 9 - Tryouts Option 1, excludes Jr/Sr (only one tryout needs to be attended)
February 11 - Tryouts Option 2 ; except for Jr/Srs (only one tryout needs to be attended)
February 17-19 Player Draft Days for Team Managers Only
February 25 - Coach's Meeting - Rosters & Equipment distribution
March 2 - Practices start
March 9-13 - Spring Break, optional practice
March 23 - Opening Day (pending uniform receipt)

Tentative key dates for the 2026 Junior / Senior season are: 3/29 and 4/1 tryouts; 4/1 Draft; week of 4/6 Rosters finalized and Coaches reach out; 4/24 Opening Day. All dates subject to DRHS Queens season schedule and league uniform receipt.
