Baseball season is finally here! Opening Day for Union City American Little League (UCALL) is shaping up to be a fun-filled celebration packed with excitement, community, and, of course, baseball! Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of the big day.
Arrive by 8:15 am for the Parade
The day kicks off with our Opening Day Parade at 9:00 AM, where teams will march onto the field in full uniform, showing off their team spirit. All players should arrive by the tennis courts at 8:15 AM to line up with their teams and get ready for the big moment. Parents and fans, bring your cameras—this is a special tradition you won’t want to miss!

Opening Ceremonies & Candy Fundraiser Winners
After the parade, we’ll move right into our Opening Ceremonies on the Major field, where we’ll introduce teams, coaches, and league officials, and officially welcome everyone to the start of the season.
We’ll also announce the winners of the Candy Fundraiser! If your team put in the effort selling candy, be sure to stick around to hear who takes home the prize.

Gift Basket Raffle
Want to take home an awesome prize? Be sure to grab your Gift Basket Raffle tickets! There will be some exciting baskets up for grabs donated by every team in the league!
We’ll announce the raffle winners after the first games, and you must be present to win so keep your tickets handy!

BBQ & Food
Baseball and BBQ go hand in hand! We’ll have delicious food available, so make sure to grab a bite and enjoy the day with family and friends.

First Games of the Season
After all the festivities, it’s time to play ball! The first games of the season will officially kick off, marking the beginning of another great year of Little League action.
