Since 1972, Union City American Little League (UCALL) has provided a fun, supportive baseball experience for boys and girls ages 4–16. Our goal is to help players build skills, confidence, and friendships while learning teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership in a positive community environment.
Divisions by Age
Each player’s division is determined by their “league age,” or how old they will be on August 31 of this year. This system keeps teams balanced and ensures every child plays at the right level for their age and development.
Tee Ball
(4–7) | An introduction to baseball focused on fun and fundamentals. No geographical boundaries — players aged 4–7 can play in the league of their choice! |
Farm
(7–9) | Players transition to hitting pitched balls by coaches. During the second half of the year, players will be given the opportunity to pitch, with coaches offering guidance on the field. |
Minors
(9–11) | First full kid-pitching season and more competitive play, building confidence and teamwork. |
Majors
(10–12) | Full Little League rules, with a focus on strategy, skill development, and sportsmanship. |
50/70
(12–13) | A transitional division using a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths. |
Juniors & Seniors
(13–16) | Advanced competition designed for high school aged players. |
Family Participation
UCALL runs on community spirit! Each family is asked to lend a helping hand in two simple ways
🛠️ League Volunteer Deposit
To help with league events and upkeep, each family is asked to volunteer two hours during the season. Opportunities include field maintenance, Opening Day, Closing Ceremonies, tournaments, or a shift at our Fireworks Booth.
This is separate from team-specific duties such as snack bar shifts or providing post-game snacks.
