Union City American Little League offers a comprehensive baseball program for boys and girls ages 4-16, promoting a fun and supportive environment where players of all skill levels can develop their baseball abilities. Established in 1972, our league has a long-standing tradition of teaching not only the fundamentals of the game but also the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.
Our league is divided into age-based divisions to ensure an age-appropriate experience that fosters growth and enjoyment:
- Tee Ball (Ages 4-7): An introductory level focused on learning the basic rules and skills of baseball in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. There are no geographical boundaries for players aged 4- 7, players can play in the league of their choice!
- Farm / Coach Pitch (Ages 7-9): Players transition to hitting pitched balls, while still receiving guidance and encouragement from coaches on the field.
- Minors (Ages 9-11): Players further develop their skills, with an introduction to more competitive play, including kid-pitching.
- Majors (Ages 10-12): A higher level of play that encourages more strategic understanding of the game, with full Little League rules in effect.
- Intermediate 50/70 (12 - 13): A transitional program using a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths.
- Juniors & Seniors (Ages 13-16): For older players, offering advanced competition and preparing players for high school baseball.
Volunteering for Field Maintenance or Firework Booth
Union City American Little League relies on the support of our families to keep the league running smoothly. As part of your commitment, each family is required to volunteer for either field maintenance or a shift at our Firework booth. If you prefer to opt out of volunteering, a $50 fee will be added to your registration at checkout.
Candy Fundraiser
As part of our efforts to support Union City American Little League, we conduct a league-wide candy fundraiser each season. Every player is encouraged to participate in selling candy to help cover league expenses such as field maintenance, equipment, and uniforms. This not only helps keep registration costs affordable but also fosters a sense of community involvement.
For families who prefer not to participate in the candy fundraiser, there is a buyout option available. If you choose this option, an additional $40 fee will be added to your registration at checkout. Your support, whether through fundraising or the buyout, is greatly appreciated and goes a long way in helping us provide a quality baseball experience for our young athletes.
