Team Rules for the Hurricanes
Parental Presence Requirement: For the safety and well-being of all athletes, parents must accompany their children to all practices and conditioning sessions. It is essential for a parent to be immediately accessible, not merely present in the parking lot, in case of an emergency or if urgent contact is necessary. This policy is in place to ensure rapid response and support for our athletes when needed.
Professional Conduct: No backtalk to any Coach, Board Member, or Hurricanes Volunteers. Let's keep it professional.
Mutual Respect: Respect each other and listen to your coaches at every practice.
Field Access: Parents, please stay off the practice fields unless a coach calls you out.
Punctuality: Get your kid to practice on time. If you're running late, give your coach a heads-up.
Cleanliness: Clean up after yourselves—toss your trash in the cans around our facility.
Hydration: Make sure your child drinks plenty before, during, and after practice. We'll have water available at games.
Weather Preparedness: Weather can be tricky; unless you hear from us through the team app that practice is off, show up ready to go.
Volunteer Participation: Remember, this organization runs on volunteer power. We need every family to pitch in where they can.
Positive Encouragement: All players, parents, and coaches must support each other through positive comments and actions only. Negative cheering and bullying are strictly prohibited.
Attendance Policy: Players are expected to attend all practices and games. Excused absences must be communicated to the coach in advance.
