2024 SPRING SEASON GUIDELINES
Birthdates between 9.1.2011 and 8.31.2020 (4- to 12-year-olds): register here
Birthdates between 9.1.2008 and 8.31.2011 (13- to 15-year-olds): register here
Registration opens: October 25, 2023
Registration closes:
- 13- to 15-year-olds: January 24, 2024
- 10- to 12-year-olds: January 24, 2024
- 9-year-olds who wish to be considered for PCL must register by this date
- Wiffle Ball: February 19, 2024, or when division reaches its capacity of 50 players
- Coach Pitch, AA (Machine Pitch), AAA: February 19, 2024
- Challenger: Open registration
Standard registration fees:
- If space permits and late registrations are allowed, there is a $100 late fee assessment required at registration.
- An Early Bird discount of $100 off registration fees for all but Wiffle Ball is in effect until December 31, 2023. Early Bird registration fees:
- Ages 13 through 15 (born between 9.1.08 and 8.31.11)–$400
- Ages 10 through 12 (born between 9.1.11 and 8.31.14)–$300
- Ages 5 through 9 (born between 9.1.14 and 8.31.19)–$200
Players must live in or attend school in Palo Alto or Stanford; verify eligibility here
Player’s assignment to a division is based on the criteria that are found here:
- 2024 Little League age (player’s age as of August 31, 2024); see Little League age chart
- Grade
- Skill level
- Baseball experience
Evaluation Sessions:- All Juniors must attend an evaluation session.
- Evaluation date: January 16, 2024
- Location: El Camino Park
- All 10-, 11-, and 12-year-olds must attend a mandatory evaluation session.
- Any 9-year-old who wishes to be considered for PCL must register by Jan 24, 2024, and attend evaluations. Evaluations assist league officials, managers, and coaches in placing players in the appropriate divisions.
- Evaluation dates: Saturday-Sunday, January 27-28, 2024, at Middlefield Ballpark.
- Sign up for Majors and PCL evaluations here.
- Players who do not attend evaluations are not eligible to play in the Majors division.
Team Formation:
- PCL and Majors:
- Majors and PCL are draft leagues; players are drafted by team managers.
- Teammate requests are not considered in forming Majors, PCL, and Juniors teams.
- Teams are formed in early February, after evaluations are completed.
- AAA, AA (Machine Pitch), Coach Pitch, and T-Ball teams are formed by the division player agents. Teams are primarily age/grade-, school-, and friend-based.
- Teammate requests are not considered for players who wish to “play up” above their age/grade level.Teams are formed in early February.
Schedules:
Generally, there is one weekday and one Saturday game scheduled for every team, every week, starting in March.
Spring 2024 calendar (subject to change):
- Little League ages 13 through 15 (born between 9.1.08 and 8.31.11)–Juniors division–$500
- Little League ages 10 through 12 (born between 9.1.11 and 8.31.14)–Majors, PCL, AAA divisions–$400
- Little League ages 5 through 9 (born between 9.1.14 and 8.31.19)–AAA, AA, Coach Pitch, and T-Ball divisions–$300
- Pre-K and TK students aged 4 (born between 9.1.19 and 8.31.20) and 5-year-olds (born between 9.1.18 and 8.31.19) in Wiffle Ball—Wiffle Ball division–$50
- Challenger division–no registration fees

March 8-11: PAUSD holiday; no games scheduled
March 15-16: Opening Day weekend
March 16: League play begins for all other divisions
March 17: Picture Day
March 30-April 7: PAUSD vacation week; no games scheduled
May 4: Regular season play ends for Majors and PCL
May 6-18: City Champion and PCL tournaments
May 18: Seasons end for all divisions
