Game Coordinator
Little League rules stipulate that if no adult umpires are working at Majors or PCL games then an adult representing the league (known as the Game Coordinator) must be in attendance. Without a Game Coordinator, the game cannot be played.
The Games Coordinator’s role is to help make sure games run smoothly by acting as a liaison between coaches and umpires and to ensure that all in attendance are respectful to the umpires and their opponents.
When a call is challenged, the Game Coordinator is the first contact between team manager/head coach and the umpires.
Game Coordinators are not expected to be rules experts—all calls are made by the umpires—rather they should facilitate respectful collaboration between managers and umpires.
Game Coordinator is a volunteer position.
