Player Eligibility

Players are eligible for Tournament Play provided they meet the criteria established by Little League’s “Residency and School Attendance Player Eligibility Requirement.” Any such age eligible player who has participated in eight (8) regular season division appropriate WFBLL games by the start of Tournament Play is eligible to participate.

Team Selection

Throughout the regular season and during our in-house tournament, Whitefish Bay Little League prides itself on broad participation, competitive balance, and opportunities for growth and success for all players.  The All Star Tournament provides a complementary experience - an opportunity to assemble highly competitive teams in order to successfully compete at a higher level of play.  Whitefish Bay Little League has a strong tradition of fielding teams to maximize competitive on-field play with the goal of winning baseball games  while embodying the values of our league.

Little League International encourages broad participation in the team selection process. For the sake of both fairness and transparency, the selection of both players and coaches to represent Whitefish Bay Little League in the Tournament is determined by the voting of both the regular season players and coaches. The top 5 vote recipients are automatically invited to join the team. The remaining player invitations are determined by the All Star Team coach in collaboration with the WFBLL Board of Directors All Star Subcommittee, taking into account all voting results. All Star Team coaches are similarly determined by a vote of the regular season coaches from their respective division, with those having led a team to the district championship during the preceding year receiving an automatic invitation to return.  Ballots are distributed in May. Teams will be finalized and posted in late May or early June.

Tournament Dates and Locations

The All Star Tournament dates and District/State hosting sites vary from year to year. However, the following information is provided as an approximation. WFBLL requests that players and coaches accepting a placement on the tournament team ensure their availability throughout the duration of the tournament. Please note that the finalized schedule will be provided in early June at the time of team selection.
