NFL FLAG VENICE
COACH’S CODE OF CONDUCT
Coaches are invaluable in teaching flag football to players and we greatly appreciate all of our volunteers who strive to enrich these athletes!
- I will conduct myself in a positive manner towards players, coaches, parents, and officials at all times.
- I will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all my players on and off the field.
- I will remember that kids register to play flag because it's fun.
- I will remember that every child should have the opportunity to play.
- I will be knowledgeable in the rules of NFL Flag and I will teach these rules to my players.
- I will expect age appropriate skills from my players.
- I will respect the decisions of the officials and communicate with them in a constructive way.
Offenses and Disciplinary Actions
The following actions are specifically prohibited during game time and anywhere on the premises.
1. Refusing to abide by an official’s decision.
2. Use of profanity or verbally abusing any player, coach, official, staff or parent.
3. Physically assaulting or threatening ANY adult or child.
4. Stalking or following a coach, official or parent after game time to berate or insult them.
5. Any violent action including throwing equipment or other objects.
Disciplinary actions for offenses 1 and 2:
- Level 1- Verbal warning and possible ejection from game
- Level 2 or Repeat offenses- Multiple game suspension
-Level 3- Expelled from the league
Disciplinary actions for offenses 3-5:
-Immediate removal from the premises and possibly expelled for the remainder of the season
-Banned from coaching or participating in any future seasons at the discretion of league commissioner
If any coach or parent is expelled from the league, any child associated with that person is also expelled from the league.
There are no refunds as a result of any person being removed from the league.
By volunteering to coach a team in NFL Flag Venice, you agree to abide by this contract throughout the season.
