League Player Eligibility

A child can participate in Downtown Little League based on conditions below:

Primary residence is located within the league’s boundary
Goes to a school that is located within the league's boundary
Has one parent who reside within the league's boundary
Primary residence or school is outside the league's boundary but has successfully applied for a waiver from and received waiver approval from Little League International
*NEW for 2025* Kids who are Little League age 7 or below can participate in any Little League regardless of geography
*NEW for 2025* Older siblings of kids who are Little League age 7 or below can participate in the same league as his/her younger sibling regardless of geography

Previously registered Downtown Little League players who no longer meet the residency or school requirement will be grandfathered in
Seniors softball division accepts out of boundary players based on available roster space

The Little League determination cutoff date:

BASEBALL (coed) August 31. A child must be at least 5 years old as of this date to be eligible for Downtown Little League's baseball program.
SOFTBALL (girls only) December 31. A child must be at least 5 years old as of this date to be eligible for Downtown Little League's softball program.
All Downtown Little League baseball & softball divisions utilize Little League age to determine placement per Little League rules, not grade level. We do not move players up or down divisions during registration.
