Little League requires that all Coaches and assistants complete a volunteer application each year. CLICK HERE for the Little League Volunteer Application - 2025.This form must be completed fully (including Social Security Number for new volunteers) and returned to Paul Paravati, Safety Officer, along with a copy of your Rutgers (or equivalent) card and a photo ID (i.e. - drivers license).The volunteer application MUST be completed before you will be allowed to be selected as a manager or a coach. All Coaches and assistants must have completed this course (or an acceptable equivalent) in order to be able to coach.

If you have completed this course for another sport, you do not need to repeat it for HTLL.
All Coaches and assistants are required to have a background check to coach youth sports in Hanover Township. Once HTLL receives your Volunteer Application you will be contacted via. e-mail with the proper paperwork for your background check.
Little League International requires annual background checks, so a background check will be done yearly.
All Coaches and assistants are required to take Concussion Training in order to be able to use Hanover fields.CLICK HERE to be taken to the CDC's online training program. Complete the session and print out the certificate. The coach should keep a copy and one should be provided to the league Safety Officer.If you have completed this training for another sport, you do not need to repeat it for HTLL.
All Coaches and assistants are strongly recommended to take CPR Training which is helpful in knowing how to use the defibrillators installed at every field in town. Classes are offered at various times during the year.
