Practices-
Practices will start around the first of August, as we try to have two full weeks of practice prior to the start of the school year. Practices during these weeks are M-F from around 6-8 (times may vary). Practices are held at Morris Park or Lockport Township High School. Once school starts, practices will be reduced to three times per week, and are traditionally Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays. More information will be provided by each coach. Please note that players must complete 10 hours of conditioning and fundamentals before they can begin full-contact practice. Exact dates will vary by team, and all details will be shared at the parent meeting.
Player Evaluations-
Player evaluations may occur during the first couple weeks of practice. During this time, players will take part in drills within their age group while being assessed by the coaches. Evaluations will take place over several days, after which players will be assigned to their appropriate team. For age groups with two teams, there will be both a D2 and a D3 team. More information to come.
GAMES-
Home games are played at Lockport Township High School, home of the 8A 2021 State Champions! Home games will traditionally be played on Sundays, starting with the youngest age levels playing first. Away games will be played with the other Chicagoland Pop Warner teams within our conference. Away games can be played on either Saturday or Sunday. The scheduled will be provided to families as soon as the coaches have it.
Registration and Equipment: Registration for the 2025 season will be open on February 8th.

Field Rental
Jersey (Home and Away), 1 Pant, Helmet and Shoulder Pads
Helmet and shoulder pads must be returned at season end (a $300 deposit check will need to be provided at the beginning of the season. The check will be returned when the equipment is returned. If equipment is not returned within 2 weeks of season end, the deposit check will be cashed)
Players will be responsible for providing their own: Socks, mouth guard, practice jersey, practice pants, girdle and football cleats
Players will get to keep the Jersey and Pants at the end of the season
Uniform Fitting
All tackle players MUST attend a uniform fitting in order to ensure their jersey will arrive on time. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Date(s), time(s) and location(s) of this is TBA.
Volunteer Fee
Our program runs on the help of our parents. For the 2025 season, families will pay a volunteer fee ($200) upfront and will earn this fee back by volunteering. Families with can earn back the fee during the year via various volunteer opportunities. Details on how to earn back the fee will be announced closer to the start of the season.
Night Out Cash Bash Fundraiser for the Jr Porters
Get a babysitter and come meet other LJP families (location and date TBA for the 2025 season)! Each family will be required to purchase 2 tickets to the fundraiser. The per tickets cost is $50.
Note - Forms will be loaded to the website once Pop Warner provides the new season forms.
